Jackpot Fruity
Jackpot Fruity Review
Jackpot Fruity is now closed
If you’ve been keeping up with news from the iGaming world, you’ll be aware that 2017 wasn’t the best year for 888 Holdings, who were investigated twice for unethical practices by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC).
With all that going on, it was important that 888 continued to impress with its content so that players weren’t put off by the unfortunate situation that the company put themselves in.
One of the best ways to do this is with an excellent new online casino, so, through no fault of its own, there was a lot of pressure on Jackpot Fruity, a site launched in 2017 that is operated by 888 subsidiary Cassava Enterprises.
The site runs on the Dragonfish platform, and when you combine those names, you have a lot of history and experience in the industry, which is certainly a good sign for Jackpot Fruity.
It takes a lot more than potential to make an impact on the online casino scene though, and whether it’s by being brash and flashy, or subtle and sophisticated, a site needs to look and feel great, as well as having a strong collection of games to impress and entice the many prospective players there are in the online casino world.
Design and theme
Design wise, Jackpot Fruity is odd, in that it feels both busy and minimalist at the same time. This is mainly due to there being a lot of white used on the site, but everything that isn’t white is bright and loud.
The red, green, and yellow logo is quite a lot to take in, and certainly not one for fans of the subtle, but if you like your casino’s colourful, this may well appeal to you.
As you scan down the page you will be met with categorised thumbnails that give you access to popular games. With the brightness of the artwork that exists in these thumbnails, it is the right decision for there to be a white background behind them, although something about it feels more unfinished than intentional, which was probably not the aim here.
This isn’t a bad looking site, it will appeal to some players, but it could definitely be better.
Games
For a long time, 888 sites seemed to be somewhat behind the curve when it came to games, while other sites were starting to offer games from 10 or 20 software developers, sometimes even more, 888 sites tended to offer only a small selection.
Although this has improved to a certain extent, it could be claimed that there is still work to be done, and games at Jackpot Fruity coming from 888 Holdings, Eyecon, IGT, NetEnt, NYX Gaming, PariPlay, SG Gaming, Thunderkick, and Williams Interactive provides some evidence for that claims.
There’s a range of different video slots, as well as good choice in classic slots, so fans of spinning will be satisfied. There’s a decent enough selection of table and card games too, as well as video poker, and a stack of scratchcards to finish the list off.
This is all well and good, but there are some big names missing from the list of developers, and therefore some huge games that aren’t available at the site, as well as limited software from up and coming developers, more games would be a great help for Jackpot Fruity.
